Blogorrah
Blurred Keys: Blogorrah.com – the start of empire building with ‘very few overheads’. Blurred Keys, “an Irish media blog”, brings the revelation that Blogorrah “copies” Gawker.com.
Honestly, though, this is blatantly obvious — and I’d consider it unfair to call this “copying”. It’s simply taking a successful format and adapting it to the local market, and doing so very well indeed if you ask me.
Blogorrah is a hilarious read. If you’re Irish and you’re not subscribed, you’re really missing out… it’s the funniest thing on the Irish web these days.

I agree Justin. Easily one of the best things out there. Interersting to see if it can keep its edge once the commercial pressures kick in.

“It’s simply taking a successful format and adapting it to the local market”
So, they copied the idea, and before Gawker recently done a redesign Blogorrah.com was a near identical copy. So, what.
I was merely pointing out such. And for ever person who says “everyone know that’, there’s another who says “sure nobody in Ireland has ever seen Gawker”.
Have record companies [or maybe school (memory) tests] made us think that any use of the word ‘copy’ has to be negative?
Anyway, the copying stuff was really only fluff compared to the substance, which was aggregation of the Sunday Times report that there’s more to come from Ryan.
