Something in the oven

Check out what’s cooking chez Mason:

Thrills and spills! I may have to cut down on the extra-curricular activities for a while, so we’d better get SpamAssassin 3.2.0 released before August 21st ;)

Awesome! Hope your wife is keeping well.

If it’s your first babba then you’ll soon discover that buying baby gear is more complex than picking a wireless router. Fun too :-)

Congrats! My wife Jacinta only has about 6 weeks to go so we’re counting down the days too.

How’s all the baby accessory purchasing going? I think we finished on Saturday with a trip to Smyths and elsewhere to buy cots and mattresses and lots of other stuff. phew

thanks guys! yep, it’s the first one BTW. eek.

Donncha: good luck with that. we haven’t done any accessorising just yet — still plenty of time… I hope…

(I have been scouring the net for baby names though. Check out Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K ;)

Padraig: I had to scan in their printout. looks like you took a photo of the screen. why don’t they just email us a PNG? it’d be much simpler!

    Rod: hahaha! totally busted.

You put that in the OVEN? Omg you guys are going to need a LOT of help! :-)

Congratulations here from me and J! Put up a separate baby blog where we can talk about it and post name suggestions, will yah? I don’t want my baby talk adulterated with “Today I received an RFID via 801.11g in ApacheCon from Jeremy Zawodny blah blah blah” :-)

    Coool Congratulations guys:

    ( you should try a 3D/4D scan its pretty cool [] )

  18. Posted March 13, 2007 at 10:42 | Permalink

Justin, I took a photo of the printout.

Gearoidc, Isn’t there some question about the safety of those scans? Personally I think they’re almost certainly fine towards the end of the pregnancy.

    Howdy Padraig,

yeah some folk have concerns, but im of the same opinion that it is fine towards the end of pregnacy.

if i remember correctly they wont do it after 27wks or before 22 wks ( dont quote me on this now ;) ) but i do recall a finite window of oppurtunity to get a scan done, and a fairly long waiting list, we got lucky and got a cancelation.

  23. Posted March 14, 2007 at 19:51 | Permalink

Congratulations! Store up as much sleep as you can now. It will be some years before you get another chance. When we got an ultrasound the doctor let us bring a blank video tape cassette that went into the machine to make us a copy. If you get another scan for some reason ask if their machine has that capability.
