    Apparently the fraudsters refer to sites ripe for fraud as “cardable” and there’s much fraud in selling bin ranges of numbers matched to names and addresses. No honour amongst thieves! Googling cardable brings up some interesting reading.

    Will be interesting to see if the banks get off their asses and make Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode become ubiquitous in the near future.

    I know the card companies have been aggressive about getting PCI-DSS rolled out — http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_DSS . I’ve heard that’s been quite hard for the companies using card data (and the carders, I hope).
