Since I discovered the rainfall radar on the Met Éireann site I find I don’t need weather forecasts any more. I can see what’s going to happen for myself. I generally only care about the prospect of rain in the next few hours.

The radar picture is very useful actually. The effect of WiFi on it is also pretty interesting.

More detailed than the stuff in weather.com too – now if I could find an applet that downloads the more detailed sites’ data and displayed it on a Nokia n800.

In other news, Little Bobby Tables has been sighted (yet again): http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8206305.stm

I find http://www.yr.no/ provided by the Norwegian Met Service to be pretty reliable (and the information is presented in a very readable fashion too). Did you know we spend about €20 million on Met Eireann each year? Value for money eh?
