Wouldn’t agree with Collins at all, these companies already ship all of their profits out of the country and pay fuck all in taxes – way, way less than the already cheap 12.5% – so if they’re not going to actually employ Irish people, imho they can fuck right off somewhere else.

Plus of course the world’ll be a better place when Twitter crawls up it’s own ass and dies. Pardon my Klatchian.

hey, I work for one of those companies nowadays. ;)

Not all of them employ the Dutch Sandwich, or whatever it’s called — AFAIK, that’s just Google. And the spin-off factor — ex-employees starting up new “seeds” of separate companies in a year or three — is undeniable. I have no hesitation in being in favour of the FDI tech industry — (present job not being a factor in that comment.)

Sorry Justin, but when I have to run my Irish-owned and Irish-operated business on a razor’s edge partly because these assholes won’t pay their way in my country, I think you can probably understand that I might be a bit pissed off that we’d hand them even more on a plate to make it easier for them to export more cash and pay even less. It pissed me off no end.
