    The 16GB Shield makes more sense unless you’ll be keeping your storage below 500GB long term, just load your media from a NAS or server. It’s identical apart from storage and it’s a lot cheaper. They go on special offer with a BT remote every couple months, both direct and on Amazon, around £150. I’ve been hankering after one for a while. :)

    hey Adam! I don’t think the Shield has Plex server support though — which is a really nifty feature I’d be after…

    Almost certain it’s supported on both Justin, have a look at the Plex blog for more details. I think they have a forum too.

    The only downside is that you can’t bring your library data over to it, the storage isn’t accessible. So you lose all watched / unwatched data. It’s minor, but annoying.

    I’m going to buy the 16GB next time it comes up on offer with the BT remote. I only wish I’d bought the lifetime Plex subscription when I had the opportunity. ????
