For the case, I did indeed get hold of an old Sun Exabyte 8500 external SCSI tape drive case (including tape drive, but that's destined for the scrapheap).

Naturally, as the build log progresses in future pages, more bits and pieces are purchased. I'm noting them here.
- Home Depot -- mini hacksaw, tube of silicone adhesive, 4 sheets of sandpaper: about $10
- Fry's -- 10 LEDs, soldering iron, ATX-style pushbutton power switch, solder, round rubber bumpers, motherboard stand-offs, 2-pin male to 3-pin female adapter for LED, 22-gauge wire, heat shrink tubing: about $50
Ituner Networks -- PW12V-5A AC-DC 12V/5A power adapter: $25 (plus $5.43 shipping).
